According to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016, the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies must be accessible. Said standard is based mainly upon the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in August 2018.
