The Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees are home to many deciduous woods that offer a very photogenic explosion of colours; some particularly spectacular areas can be found around the towns of Alp and Llívia, in Cerdanya; Santa Pau in Garrotxa; Ribes de Freser, Vallfogona del Ripollès and Setcases in Ripollès and the Albera zone on the Costa Brava.
